Stephen grew up in Michigan and went to college at Michigan State University and graduated with a degree in political science. After graduating from Michigan State University, Stephen started at the Thomas M. Cooley law school on a scholarship. While at law school Stephen interned at the Washtenaw County Public Defender’s office and grew an interest in criminal defense. Stephen’s first legal victory came after he won a lawsuit by suing his Landlord for failing to return a security deposit.
After graduating from law school, Stephen relocated to Arizona and started practicing law in 2012, focusing only on criminal defense cases. Over his legal career, Stephen has handled everything from civil traffic hearings, misdemeanors, DUI cases, and felonies. To keep up with cutting edge legal trends, Stephen is part of a National DUI organization called the DUI Defense Lawyers Association.
In his free time, Stephen enjoys reading non-fiction books, listening to podcasts, watching movies and sports on TV, hiking, and long walks on the beach under the moonlight. Stephen’s favorite TV shows are Seinfeld, Boston Legal, The Shield, and South Park. Stephen is also a big Hockey fan and is a season ticket holder for the Arizona Coyotes.
