Robert Gouveia (formerly Robert Gruler) is a seasoned attorney with a distinguished background in criminal defense. An Arizona native, he attended Brophy College Preparatory, where he was a regional champion and captain of the wrestling team. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Arizona State University, graduating Magna Cum Laude and receiving the Provost Scholarship. Rob then obtained his Juris Doctorate from Phoenix School of Law, graduating in the top 15% of his class. While in law school, he was actively involved in the Criminal Law Society, the Federalist Society, and served as Vice-Managing Editor of the Law Review.

Rob has dedicated his career to studying, practicing, and innovating in the field of criminal defense. He is licensed to practice law in Arizona, California, the U.S. Federal District Court for the State of Arizona, and the United States Supreme Court. Throughout his career, he has been recognized for his leadership, including being named one of Arizona’s 35 Top Entrepreneurs Under 35 by The Arizona Republic.

As the founder of R&R Law Group, Rob built a firm rooted in the principles of integrity, advocacy, and justice. Though he has since transitioned out of the firm, his legacy of excellence and commitment to defending the rights of others remains a core part of its foundation.

Today, Rob is primarily focused on his YouTube channel, “Watching the Watchers,” a live show dedicated to providing legal analysis, breaking down high-profile cases, and holding the criminal justice system accountable. His insightful commentary and deep legal expertise have made him a trusted voice in the legal and media space.

In addition to his online work, Rob serves on the board of Eric’s House, a nonprofit dedicated to supporting individuals through grief and healing. His passion for justice, education, and advocacy continues to shape his impact beyond the courtroom.
