Nicolas Monarrez

Nicolas was born and raised in Nampa, Idaho. After graduating from high school, he moved to sunny Arizona to attend Grand Canyon University where he studied government with an emphasis on legal studies. After graduating, he married his high school sweetheart, Sam, and began attending ASU’s Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law. During his time at ASU, Nic was a board member of the Chicano Latino Law Student Association and the Student Bar Association. He and his wife also welcomed two wonderful boys into the world, Mateo and Dominic.

Nicolas was hired at R&R Law Group while still in law school as part of the ASU 3L Residency Program. Nicolas began as an intern with R&R in the summer of 2020. During this time he was rule 39 certified through the Arizona Supreme Court and learned how to handle criminal cases. Nicolas passed the Arizona Bar Exam in October of 2021 and was hired as an associate attorney.

Since being hired, Nicolas has put into his legal practice the R&R pillars of safety, clarity, and hope. Nicolas prides himself on communication, diligence, and attention to detail. He utilizes these skills to properly care for and relay information to his clients, identify winning issues in cases and negotiate with the State. Nic has a never say die attitude that leads to favorable results for his clients.

In his free time, Nicolas enjoys playing basketball, watching true crime television, going to the park with his family, or having a stiff drink with Sam.
